FOR the first time in more than five years, cameras have been allowed behind bars to make a series in an English prison. This disturbing two-part documentary, filmed oover seven months, pprovides a rare insight into the challenges that prison staff and inmates (such as Michael Surtees, pictured) face on a daily basis at HMP Durham, from violence and drugs to a shortage of beds.
