Young mum is stabbed to death outside her family restaurant
A YOUNG mother was stabbed to death in broad daylight outside her family restaurant yesterday.
Lilia Djairine, 24, is believed to have been confronted by a man outside a trendy west London pizzeria.
Residents described the businesswoman as a ‘lovely person’ who was well known in the neighbourhood.
They fear her four-year-old daughter was nearby when the attack took place. An abandoned pushchair could be seen inside the police cordon.
Miss Djairine is believed to be the 90th person to be killed during a wave of violence surging through the capital this year.
The Metropolitan Police said a 28-yearold man, who is believed to be known to the victim, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
Police were called to reports of a violent assault outside the L’oro di Napoli restaurant in Hanwell yesterday lunchtime.

manager and lived in a flat upstairs. She co- owned the business with her mother, who is Polish.
Witnesses described how they heard shouting up to two hours before the arrival of the emergency services.
Paramedics were seen desperately trying to save her life on the pavement outside the business.
One neighbour said: ‘ He stabbed the woman who owns the pizza shop. The family owns it, the mother has another restaurant in South Ealing.
‘They live above the restaurant. It was horrible. I walked past them giving her CPR on my way to the gym. They were trying their best, but they couldn’t save her.’
Another resident said he often ate at the pizzeria, adding: ‘It’s a really nice place and very reasonable. We would see her walk up the street with her daughter and boyfriend to the park.’
Murder detectives sealed off a large area around the restaurant, including a neighbouring pub, tanning shop and antiques store. Specialist forensics officers could be seen inside. A young man was being comforted by investigators.
The neighbouring pub, The Viaduct, is a popular movie location and scenes from an upcoming film about the Hatton Garden jewellery heist were filmed here.
A neighbour, carrying two bouquets of flowers, said: ‘You have Michael Caine and Ray Winstone filming in the pub next door and even Idris Elba was only here the other day filming.
‘And then the next day this. It’s absolutely shocking. It’s not on. The girl was really lovely, and she has a beautiful little girl.’
A Met Police spokesman said: ‘A postmortem and formal identification will take place in due course. At this stage this matter continues to be dealt with by detectives in Ealing.
‘Enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing.’
