Jailed, teenage neo-Nazi who wanted to murder Jewish MP and built bomb in his bedroom

A NAzI-OBSESSED teenager who threatened to kill a Jewish MP was jailed yesterday for downloading a bomb-making manual.

Jack Coulson, 19, had been banned from using the internet after being convicted last year of making a pipe-bomb.

But in January he breached this order by obtaining a 60-page document on making explosives. Called the Big Book of Mischief, the manual also gave instructions on how to handle weapons, including rockets.

Coulson admitted possessing a document for terrorist purposes and was sentenced to four years and eight months in a young offenders institution.

Passing sentence, Judge Geoffrey Marson QC, told Coulson that despite being given chances he had repeatedly breached orders designed to rein in his dangerous behaviour.

‘You are unable to address the very real problems which you have in relation to your Right-wing views,’ he said.

David Temkin, prosecuting, told Leeds Crown Court that the teenager continued to hold ‘an active interest in far-Right political views and violence’ and had a note in his home that read: ‘They are not going to cure me of my views.’

Coulson was said to idolise Adolf Hitler and regarded the murderer of Labour MP Jo Cox as a hero.

In January he was staying at a hostel when he drunkenly boasted to fellow residents that he wanted to kill Luciana Berger, the Labour MP for Liverpool Wavertree.

Mr Temkin said: ‘He stated that he would “get the bitch” and would “kill her”. He added that he would “put two bullets in the back of her head”.’

Coulson was not charged with an offence in relation to this threat. However police found the bomb manual on his phone when they raided his home in Mexborough, South Yorkshire.

Mr Temkin said it ‘provided sufficient detail to assist in the preparation and use of the component parts necessary to form an improvised explosive device’.

Coulson admitted downloading the guide but claimed to be under the impression that it was about pranks and ‘petty stuff’.

His phone also contained images of handguns, suicide vests, swastikas and soldiers, as well as a clip of a screaming crowd with gunshots in the background.

Kate O’Raghallaigh, defending, said Coulson was an isolated individual and had no meaningful relationships with anyone outside his immediate family.

At his trial last year over the pipe bomb that was found in his bedroom the jury was told that police had been tipped off by a member of the public concerned about his Snapchat messages.

One Snapchat image was of a mosque being blown up along with the words: ‘It’s time to enact retribution upon the Muslim filth.’

Another had a picture of a pipe bomb with a view of the Bradford skyline and the message: ‘Incendiary explosive and home-made black powder. More to come.’

Coulson, who escaped a custodial sentence for the bomb offence, decorated his room with Nazi memorabilia and expressed support for ethnic cleansing.

On the day that Mrs Cox was murdered by Thomas Mair in her West Yorkshire constituency, he posted a picture of the killer on Facebook. His message read: ‘Tommy Mair is a HERO. There’s one less race traitor in Britain thanks to this man.’

Coulson also became involved with the banned far-Right group National Action, whose leader was
