Police stop green group grooming star pupil online

-

A TEENAGER expected to get A* grades in his GCSEs was referred to the Government’s anti-extremism Prevent programme after being groomed online by environmental activists.

The details were revealed yesterday in a report on tackling extremism in Greater Manchester, where he lives.

The unnamed boy – who was given the pseudonym Aaron – was put under increasing pressure ‘to the point where he was on the periphery of criminal behaviour and frequently reported as missing by his parents’.

The grooming stopped after police issued a Child Abduction Warning Notice. The activists de-friended Aaron on social media within two hours.
