Missing Corrie is in waste disposal system, says dad

-

THE father of an airman missing since 2016 yesterday said the family accepted he had died after climbing into a bin.

Martin McKeague said he was sure Corrie, who was 23 when he vanished on a drunken night out in Bury St Edmunds, was ‘somewhere in the Suffolk waste disposal system’ and his corpse was ‘essentially irretrievable’.

A six-month search through 9,000 tons of rubbish at a landfill site failed to locate his body. But his father said in an online message that there was no explanation other than that his son – who had been known to take refuge in bins – ended up in a refuse lorry

Shortly before he vanished Corrie, who was based at RAF Honington, learned that his girlfriend, April Oliver, was pregnant. She had a daughter last June.
