THE defences are up against show-the-knees Yves St Laurent. Whatever French women may be prepared to reveal, British women say No. There was nothing but a shake of the head last night to the Dior invitation to show both knees when the young designer unveiled his collection in Paris. Dr Edith Summerskill, Socialist MP, said: ‘I thnk it is ridiculous — a youth of 21 trying to dictate to sensible women.’
