Betting investigator
A SOFTWARE company which helps identify betting corruption in Premier League football has been bought by private equity firm Apax.
Genius Sports Group, the owner of sports betting business Betgenius, was sold for an undisclosed multi-millionpound sum just weeks after the US Supreme Court allowed states to begin legalising sports gambling.
Chief executive Mark Locke is understood to have pocketed millions from the deal after selling most of his sizable stake. Apax hopes to move the business into more international locations, including the loosening US market.
