has cut his post-World Cup holiday short in a bid to impress new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri. loftus-Cheek reached the semi-finals with England and was not due back at Cobham until the end of next week. but Sarri has said he wants more quality in midfield and loftus-Cheek wants to show he is worthy of a chance, so is already back in training. The 22-year-old, who has eight caps for England, admitted during the World Cup that he had put his future on hold until after the tournament. He is considerin­g his options but his first choice is to stay as a first-team player. Meanwhile, alvaro Morata is still planning to travel to Dublin to continue Chelsea’s pre-season, just days after his wife gave birth to twin boys, in a bid to win over Sarri.
