Help seemed heaven sent
ALAN and Janette Wilson were looking forward to a relaxing stay in Gran Canaria when Alan was taken ill with bacterial meningitis in the early hours of the first night. Once in hospital, their predicament grew when doctors dragged their feet about issuing a report for insurers, while declaring Alan ready for discharge too soon. He says: ‘It was so stressful. I was immobile, very dizzy and had a lot of joint pain.
