Get back to work? I’m in no hurry, says new mum Eva

-

SHE spent almost two decades as one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actresses. But now Eva Longoria has taken to a different kind of role as a first-time mother – and she’s in no hurry to get back to work.

The Desperate Housewives star, 43, gave birth to baby Santiago Enrique, with husband Jose ‘Pepe’ Baston on June 19. She said the feeling of holding the newborn was ‘indescribable’: ‘He was born so alert! It was like he said, “Hey! I know you!” It’s as if I knew him my whole life.’

In the latest edition of Hello! magazine, Miss Longoria said she was anxious about returning to directing the drama Grand Hotel: ‘My son will be two and a half months old and I can’t even think about it right now... I enjoy our routine and our days together. I actually miss him when he’s sleeping, so I’m like: “Ugh. Hurry up and wake up so I can play with you!”

‘ The thought of going back to work ... I get anxiety thinking about it.’
