He has found Kante’s best position

IT’S not often you see N’Golo Kante marauding down the wing and trying to get into the box, but that is how Maurizio Sarri has got him playing. Rather than sit back, Sarri wants his new-look Chelsea to play pressing football and win the ball high up the pitch. Who better to do that than the France midfielder? He is brilliant at intercepting the ball but with Jorginho shielding the defence, Kante has been tasked with harrying opponents further forwards. On the right of a midfield three, he has the freedom to be a box-to-box midfielder. In this role, we could see Kante take his game to an even higher level.
