- By ADAM SHERGOLD

TO ME, TO YOU

RotheRham lost one of its favourite sons last weekend when children’s tV star Barry Chuckle died aged 73. there was a minute’s applause for the ChuckleVision star (right) before the millers’ 1-0 win over Ipswich but a more fitting tribute came when both sets of fans swapped chants of ‘to me, to you’ after 73 minutes. Rotherham boss Paul Warne said of Barry: ‘he did my testimonial, came on and threw a bucket of water over me.’

IT’S A KRUL OLD GAME

NORWICH keeper Tim Krul had a day to forget as the Canaries lost 4-3 to West Brom. The Dutchman let a 30-yard strike from Jay Rodriguez through his fingers having earlier brought down Dwight Gayle to concede a penalty. Norwich boss Daniel Farke backed Krul. ‘All keepers have this situation maybe once in three years,’ he said. ‘Tim will not concede a goal like that again, 100 per cent.’

POTTER’S MAGIC SWANS

It hadn’t been the best of weeks for Swansea boss Graham Potter. he was laid low by illness as the club sold first-teamers alfie mawson, Jordi amat, Sam Clucas and Federico Fernandez on deadline day, bringing in only declan John to compensate after a £6million move for Brentford’s Ryan Woods fell through. But Jay Fulton earned the Swans a 1-0 win over Preston to lift spirits. ‘I don’t want to whinge,’ said Potter. ‘You need to judge the window at the end of the season.’

ROBINS GET JUSTICE

BRISTOL CITY’S comeback to earn a point at Bolton was extra sweet after a diving controversy threatened to send them spiralling to defeat. Niclas Eliasson was booked for simulation when he went over in the box and Bolton hit the Robins with a quick double. ‘It was incredible Eliasson was booked for that,’ said assistant boss Dean Holden after Andreas Weimann and Jamie Paterson scored to grab City a draw.

GOAL OF THE WEEK

KEMAR ROOFE (Derby County v LEEDS UNITED) KEMAR ROOFE has enjoyed a sensational start to the season with a pair of man-of-the-match performances and the second of his two goals in the 4-1 win at Derby was pure class.

Roofe (right) stretched out a leg to control a Mateusz Klich pass, bamboozled his marker with a spin and then fired high into the Derby net.
