Drug-maker shire’s Japanese partner Shionogi has applied to expand its use of Intuniv to treat adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

The drug is already approved for use for children in the country.

a shire spokesman said: ‘ There remains a significant need for new non- stimulant treatment options for adults being diagnosed with aDHD in Japan.’
