‘Present but not involved’: Twitter mocks his response

JEREMY Corbyn’s response to the row over his visit to the graves has provoked ridicule from the public online.

His comment that ‘I was present at that wreath-laying, I don’t think I was actually involved in it’ has been has used in a series of mocking messages on Twitter.

One user posted a photo of the Titanic sinking with the iceberg captioned as saying it was there but had not been involved.

An unofficial Twitter account for Palmerston, the Foreign Office cat, showed the animal with a bird in its mouth and the caption: ‘I was present at the incident with the duckling, but I don’t think I was actually involved in it.’

Other images uploaded to Twitter along with Mr Corbyn’s words included Diego Maradona’s ‘Hand of God’, a picture of Ed Miliband unveiling his 2015 election pledges, a photo of a Ku Klux Klan meeting, and David Cameron holding a pig.
