Stevie’s visit to poorly Aretha

-

POP legend Stevie Wonder has visited the bedside of ailing ‘Queen of Soul’ Aretha Franklin.

US political veteran Jesse Jackson and Franklin’s exhusband, actor Glynn Turman, have also been to see the venerated singer, pictured, who is ‘seriously ill’ at home in Detroit.

At a show in the city on Monday with husband Jay-Z, singer Beyonce thanked 76-year-old Miss Franklin for her ‘beautiful music’ and added: ‘We love you.’

There were more warm words from singers including Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan and Missy Elliott.

And ex-President Bill Clinton tweeted that he and Hillary were ‘thinking about Aretha Franklin tonight & listening to her music that has been such an important part of our lives the last 50 years’.
