Strictly’s Kevin: I’d be happy to dance with another man
FIRSt judge Craig Revel Horwood said he was ‘ hopeful’ Strictly Come Dancing would soon star same-sex couples.
and now professional dancer Kevin Clifton has joined the debate – saying he would have ‘no problem’ being paired with another man.
Clifton, 35, has performed on the BBC one show for five years and his partners have included Susanna Reid and Louise Redknapp.
taking questions from fans on twitter, he was asked: ‘as a gay man who loves the show (and thinks you are brilliant), I’m curious where do you stand on same sex dance partners? Would you be open to dancing with a guy if the show put that to you?’ Clifton replied: ‘Just to be
‘If I was asked, I’d have no problem’

Strictly Come Dancing revealed earlier this year that it had ‘no plans’ to change its policy.
But last year Horwood said he was ‘hopeful’ same-sex couples would soon appear on the show.
He spoke out after 2017 contestant Susan Calman, who is openly gay, was criticised on social media by LGBt activists for not having a female professional partner.
Clifton’s comments came as the younger brother of Youtube star Zoella was confirmed as the latest celebrity in this year’s Strictly line-up.
Joe Sugg, also an online star, admitted on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show that ‘a lot of people’ might say ‘Who?’ after his name was unveiled.
