A BABY trapped inside a pipe and a snake on the attack are two of the cases in episode one of this fullthrottle U.S. drama about emergency services first responders. It’s OTT, but the leads — Connie Britton, Peter Krause and Angela Bassett — are high-quality actors, and they give it enough weight to make it all just about plausible.
