Worker who was bound and gagged loses case

-

AN EMPLOYEE who was bound and gagged at work has lost her case at an employment tribunal.

DeeAnn Fitzpatrick, 49, pictured during her ordeal, said she was bullied and harassed from 2015 to 2017 while working as a fisheries officer for a Scottish government agency after she became a ‘whistleblower’.

She told a tribunal in Aberdeen in June she felt intimidated after being sent anonymous cards. She claimed she was sexually harassed and faced sexual and age discrimination.

But the tribunal has ruled against her. It is understood her gagging allegation could not be considered as it was said to have taken place more than three years before the complaint was brought.
