DONALD Trump has ordered America’s financial watchdog, the Securities and Exchange Commission, to look at whether firms should only have to report results every six months, instead of every three. The president’s move comes after JP Morgan Chase boss Jamie Dimon and Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, said quarterly reporting put too much emphasis on short- term targets and called for a rethink.
