FRAMPTON TARGETS BIG WIN TO SET UP WORLD-TITLE SHOT

CARL FRAMPTON tops the card in his home city tonight and a win over Australia’s Luke Jackson would put him on course to bid for a third world title. Promoter Frank Warren has earmarked a Battle of Britain for Frampton in Manchester this December against Josh Warrington, who beat Lee Selby to win the IBF featherweight title. The winner of that will be in line for unification bouts against dynamic WBO champion Oscar Valdez and whoever prevails between WBC champion Gary Russell Jnr and Frampton’s WBA nemesis, Leo Santa Cruz.
