Moon shines in Rhinos’ charge

-

JOEL Moon scored a hat-trick in 14 minutes as eight-try leeds continued their unbeaten Qualifiers run, though they had to survive a late london rally to defeat the Broncos 48-32.

‘It was a nice reminder that we’ve still got a lot of work to do,’ said Kevin Sinfield, leeds’ direcotr of rugby.

leeds got off to a flying start, opening the scoring in the second minute through Moon. They led 28-6 at half-time, thanks to five scores including Moon’s treble, and added three further tries to go 48-10 up with 17 minutes left.

‘You’ve got to give credit to london because I think they had a real go,’ Sinfield said. ‘I don’t think our players stopped playing because they thought the game was won.’

london Broncos head coach Danny Ward said: ‘The damage was done in the first half.’
