Stockpiling Chanel makes perfect sense for Kirsty...

MANY women have a favourite fragrance but Newsnight’s Kirsty Wark takes things to extremes.

The 63-year-old, who is paid more than £ 200,000 a year by the BBC, has an entire bathroom cabinet at her Glasgow home dedicated to storing her hoard of Chanel No 19.

‘Been wearing 19 for more than 30 years, but stockpiling just in case the range is further depleted,’ she explained, next to a snap on social media. ‘Whenever I go abroad I find myself scouring the duty-free so I can bulk-buy it.’

This lot alone comes in at £600 and includes a £65 mousse and £98 perfume. Kirsty recently declared that power dressing for ambitious women is over, but at least there is one thing in her life that will never go out of style.
