Cap delay

ofgeM has delayed its muchawaited announcement on the proposed energy cap after failing to make a decision. The energy watchdog was expected to reveal the maximum amount energy suppliers can charge households on their standard variable tariffs, which are typically the most expensive, on august 23. The announcement is expected in September.
