John Stansfield, 63 Chairman, Hornby

HORNBY has named John Stansfield as chairman to oversee a turnaround plan at the firm.

A veteran of 31 years at the troubled toymaker, he will take up the role in a nonexecutive capacity. An accountant, Stansfield spent 12 years as Hornby’s finance chief. He will replace Lyndon Davies, who steps down from the interim chairman position to focus on his role as chief executive.

Separating will enable the company to better comply with corporate governance, Hornby added.
