Retire gracefully

OXFORD professor John Pitcher has gone to an employment tribunal because he didn’t wish to retire two years ago at the age of 67 (Mail).

What is wrong with people who want to work on into old age?

I’m sure the professor enjoyed his career along with his £83,000 annual salary, plus housing allowance and other benefits. But does he not feel it’s time to relax, go fishing, play golf, write that novel or maybe spend more time with his loved ones?
