Cowell’s Walk of Fame with his old f lames
HE was being honoured for his contribution to the music industry. So naturally Simon Cowell could not resist showing off a few blasts from his past.
As he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he was watched by girlfriend Lauren Silverman – and old flames Terri Seymour and Sinitta.
The X Factor mogul, 58, who has launched dozens of pop careers, amassing a £427million fortune, was also accompanied by his son Eric, four, and Miss Silverman’s son Adam, 12 – with both boys wearing white shirts and blue trousers to match Cowell.
Proteges including Louis Tomlinson, Kelly Clarkson and Leona Lewis also attended the unveiling on Wednesday, as did Cowell’s fellow judges Amanda Britain’s Alesha Holden – Dixon Got who Talent later and changed into a slinky, revealing silk dress for the celebration dinner.
In his speech, Cowell said: ‘I would just like to ask you: why did this take so long? I’m kidding. If anyone says fame is a bad thing, I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s the best thing in the world. One thing I was thinking about today was who would have got a bigger kick out of this? My mum and dad. And they’re not here, but I have a feeling they’re looking down.’
