Jerry Hall has a very costly leak
IN THE Rolling Stones classic Gimme Shelter, Mick Jagger sang: ‘The floods is threat’ning/My very life today.’ And now his ex- wife, Jerry Hall, is resorting to desperate measures after their £13 million marital home was twice damaged by rain.
The Texan model, 62, has been forced to apply for planning permission to repair the roof of Downe House, the 26-room Grade II- listed Georgian pile overlooking the Thames in Richmond, which she used to share with Jagger and their four children.
She now lives there with her second husband, the media magnate Rupert Murdoch, 87.
Rainwater wrecked the ceiling of a first-floor bedroom, causing thousands of pounds of damage.
Notoriously pennypinching Jagger, who still jointly owns the house, would surely approve of the works. After all, presumably someone else is picking up the bill.
