WHO’S CAUGHT MY EYE... JOE GOMEZ

I WANTED to give him a special mention. I always thought he was a full back but Joe Allen told me that his future was always going to be in the middle. He showed that at Crystal Palace on Monday night with a tremendous performance. It was good, also, to see James Maddison score for Leicester after he was mentioned here last week.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO...

A NEW band called YOTA. They are made up of two old members of the Gorillaz plus Jamie from The Klaxons and they supported Kasabian in Brixton on Thursday. I love the track Drop The Bomb and big things are expected of these guys.

WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO...

THURSDAY night was spent in Brixton watching Kasabian. It’s never a bad night when they are on and it must the 18th time I’ve seen them in concert. I absolutely love them and I didn’t get caught singing at the front on this occasion!

NEXT UP FOR ME...

THERE isn’t any time to think about anything else other than football. After today’s game at Hull, we face Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup. The Championship schedule is relentless and this is something I’m going to have to get used to.
