George’s first grouse shoot ... then mum joins Queen at church

- By Rebecca English Royal Correspondent

PrINCE George was taken to his first grouse shoot last week in his latest royal rite of passage.

The five-year-old was seen clutching a toy white rabbit as he was driven to the shoot near Balmoral by his mother on Friday. It is believed he was watching his father take part.

Yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge, still sporting a tan from her family’s Caribbean holiday earlier in the summer, joined the Queen at church.

Kate, 36, looking elegant in a Catherine Walker suit and a black pillbox hat, sat beside the monarch as they were driven to Crathie Kirk.

Prince William, also 36, sat in the front of the Queen’s Bentley.

George, and his younger siblings Charlotte and Louis, were not taken along.
