The battle of the bomber jackets

A ROW over copycat puffer jackets has erupted between Jack Wills and Superdry.

Superdry is seeking an injunction from the High Court which would prevent Jack W ills releasing a coat. Lawyers for Superdry claim there are striking similarities between its £114.99 Glacier Biker Jacket and Jack W ills’ £99 Cuffley Padded Jacket.

And Superdry claims that its former head of international business development, Greg Roberts, took top-secret information to Jack Wills when he moved there last November.

A Jack Wills insider questioned why it would want to copy Superdry – saying its clothes are worn by ‘ gorgeous, cool young people’ while Superdry’s ‘appeal to the middle-aged’.

Superdry retaliated by saying it was ‘proud to appeal to cool kids and cool parents’.
