Auditor gauges morale
THe accountant eY has brought in psychologists to gauge staff morale following industry scandals.
Regulators have handed out multi- million- pound fines to auditors recently.
There have also been calls for a break-up of the Big Four firms over fears they are too cosy with clients.
all four were connected to the collapse of carillion, with KPMG acting as the construction giant’s external auditor, deloitte as its internal auditor, Pwc as its adviser and eY tasked with turning it around.
an eY spokesman said: ‘Whilst our overall recruitment and retention figures remain constant, it is important that the profession continues to attract and retain top talent.’
