YOU’RE GETTING SACKED IN THE MORNING

Spurs fans taunt beaten Mourinho

JOSE MOURINHO cut an emotional figure at Old Trafford as he stood alone and applauded Manchester United’s fans after his worst home defeat as a manager.

Mourinho, under increasing pressure as United slipped to 13th in the table, had seen his side capitulate in the second half as Harry Kane and a Lucas Moura brace sent Spurs second behind Liverpool.

It is United’s worst start since the opening Premier League season in 1992-93 and Spurs fans chanted: ‘Sacked in the morning’ and ‘You’re not special any more’.

But those United fans who stayed behind sang his name and Mourinho said: ‘I don’t think it’s normal to lose a game at home and the supporters to react that way.’

He later hit out in a bizarre press conference and demanded ‘respect’.
