JERRY HALL,
who turned 62 last month in style — enjoying lunch at Club 55 in St Tropez — has, I hear, also recently pitted her wits against the eggheads of Oxford.
‘She’s intelligent and well informed,’ says an Oxonian who met the model when she accompanied her husband, Rupert Murdoch, 87, to the university, and found her almost as admirably equipped for high table discourse as for the catwalk. Murdoch kept a bust of Lenin in his rooms at Oxford in the Fifties, and graduated with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
Jerry, by contrast, concluded her formal education at North Mesquite High School in her native Texas, and seems to have skipped Lenin entirely — to no discernible disadvantage.
