Deported by US, British escort who took 14-year-old’s virginity for £340

A BRITISH hypnotherapist was ordered to be deported from the United States after she admitted being paid to take the virginity of a 14-year-old boy.

Sarah McGill was facing up to 15 years in jail but instead received five years probation and was ordered to leave America immediately after being found guilty by a judge in Florida.

The 28-year- old had met her victim online after he found a profile under the name ‘Sophie Belle’ and arranged to meet up at a hotel.

McGill had been arrested on April 6 after having sex with the 14-year-old in a Courtyard Marriott in Orlando.

She had been paid $480 (£339) in cash by the boy who said he had felt under peer pressure to lose his virginity and wanted to ‘spice up’ his love life.

McGill told police she was travelling alone across the US on a sightseeing trip.

When it was put to her that she was actually a prostitute who was paid hundreds of dollars an hour to sleep with men, she said ‘there is truth in that’.

The arrest shone a light on McGill’s bizarre double life after claiming to be a hypnotherapist with an office in Edinburgh.

The Scot, from Galashiels, sobbed during the two-hour police interview and said: ‘I swear I didn’t know’ the boy was under 18.

Adding that she felt ‘terrible’ he was so young, she said: ‘ We didn’t just talk. He wanted to touch me. We were talking and one thing led to another. That was it.

‘I wish that I never took him upstairs. I feel such an idiot.’

In his police interview, the victim said he felt ‘guilty’ about sleeping with McGill and had given the money as a ‘donation’.

The incident came to light when the boy’s father found out and went back to the hotel where he called the police. McGill had denied lewd or lascivious battery – known as statutory rape in the UK – and was due to stand trial next month.

But the prospect of a long jail term left her ‘scared’ and prosecutors were apparently willing to cut her a deal.

At her pre-trial hearing she entered a no contest plea and was ruled guilty.

Judge Julio Semino, said in an email: ‘ Ms McGill received five years sex offender probation and (is) classified a sex offender.’

Through tears, McGill said: ‘I’ve never been in handcuffs or anything like that so it’s scary for me.

‘I think I should leave the country and I think I should be told off. I don’t want to go to jail. I’m really scared’.
