Just when United boss thought it couldn’t get any worse, Champions League draw means it’s...

MANCHESTER UNITED have been drawn in the same Champions League group as Juventus, meaning Jose Mourinho can add Cristiano Ronaldo to his list of Old Trafford worries.

Ronaldo, a £100million summer signing from Real Madrid, is targeting a fourth successive European Cup win. But the emotion of his return to his former club may be lost on Mourinho, whose United team are reeling after two successive Premier League defeats.

United face the Italian champions in backto-back games with the home tie on October 23 and the Turin return on November 7. Also in the group are Valencia and Young Boys.

Liverpool, last season’s beaten finalists, are pitted against Paris Saint- Germain, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade. ‘I expected a tough group and that’s what the Champions League is all about,’ said Anfield manager Jurgen Klopp.

Tottenham were handed two glamour ties in the Monaco draw — Barcelona and Inter Milan, plus PSV Eindhoven. They will face Barca at Wembley on October 3, but have yet to confirm a venue for the other two home ties while their ground is rebuilt.

Bookies’ favourites Manchester City should have little trouble against Lyon, Shakhtar Donetsk and Hoffenheim.
