Parents’ plea to missing daughter
THE family of a teenage girl missing for more than two weeks yesterday begged her to come home saying: ‘We cannot carry on like this.’
Naomi Rees, 15, is being sought by police across the country amid fears she is with Tomas Baker, 20, from Tamworth, Staffordshire, who she met on the internet.
The girl, pictured, was last spotted on CCTV walking into a war memorial park in her home town of Pontypridd, South Wales, at 8.06am on August 15. Earlier that morning she was sighted boarding a bus from her home towards the town centre.
Her distraught parents Peter and Grace Rees have heard nothing from her, although detectives believe she is with Baker. Mrs Rees said: ‘Naomi, come home. It doesn’t matter what has gone on. Our arms are always open. We cannot carry on like this.’
In CCTV footage, Naomi is wearing a long scarf, dark jacket, dark jeans, and black trainers with white soles.
