Boy, 16, in shopping mall acid attack

A BOY suffered life-changing injuries when he was sprayed in the face with acid outside a busy shopping centre.

The 16-year-old was arguing with another boy when the attack happened in front of families outside a Pizza Express in Bristol’s Cribbs Causeway shopping mall on Saturday night. Police were last night hunting his attacker.

The victim, who has not been named, is being treated in hospital. Staff have described his injuries as life-changing and potentiall­y permanent. The boy’s older brother Aaron O’Brien, from Tralee, southwest Ireland, said: ‘It’s unknown exactly how bad the injuries are.’

Police were last night hunting a gunman who shot a 16-year-old boy in a suspected drugs dispute.

Residents in Wandsworth, south-west London, were woken by gunfire early yesterday morning. Police found the teenage boy with a gunshot wound outside a bathroom showroom and opposite a petrol station. He was in a serious but stable condition in hospital last night.
