Hamilton lines up a move on Vettel on the first lap, switching right to take the racing line as the Ferrari driver covers the inside. The Mercedes gets its nose in front as the pair take turn four, but Vettel refuses to concede space and the resulting collision sends the German into a spin, relegating him to the back of the field.

Hamilton draws alongside Raikkonen on the main straight at 220mph and drives around the race leader at the opening chicane. He masterfully makes his pass stick to seal the race.
