Lacazette’s praise for Emery impact

- By ADAM CRAFTON

ARSENAL striker Alexandre Lacazette says the team’s mentality has already improved under Unai Emery and that the players are learning ‘like children’ with their new manager. Lacazette (below) set up a goal for Pierre-Emerick Auba meyang and scored the winner in Arsenal’s 3-2 victory at Cardiff on Sunday and the Frenchman says the team proved their resilience after twice conceding the lead. ‘You can see we had the mentality,’ said Lacazette. ‘Last season we lost this kind of game. But if you see the faces after the second goal we had confidence

and that was why we came back. ‘This season we want to be better away from home and I hope that it will be the first of many until the last day of the season.’ Concerns remain over the defence where Arsenal are leaking goals and look over-exposed by the demands of Emery’s pressing system. ‘We know everything,’ said Lacazette. ‘We just made mistakes because we are learning like children. It is OK, we will be better week after week.’
