ARTER TAKES IRELAND BREAK AFTER BUST-UP WITH KEANE
HARRY ARTER is taking a break from international football after a training-ground row with Republic of Ireland assistant Roy Keane. Ireland boss Martin O’Neill has confirmed that the argument may have been a factor in the Cardiff City midfielder informing him he does
not want to be selected at present. Arter (below) and team-mate Jonathan Walters clashed with Keane before their friendly against the USA in June. But while Arter has withdrawn, Walters has joined up with the squad for Thursday’s Nations League opener against Wales in Cardiff and next week’s friendly in Poland.
