Act now on plastic

VISITING the Greek islands, I have despaired at the amount of plastic in the sea and around the shoreline.

Recycling is not the full answer — the world needs to take dramatic and immediate action immediately.

Every country should impose a significant plastic tax, the proceeds of which could be used to clear the environment of plastic pollution. And we need a ten-year deadline for a ban on plastics.
