attended her second Proms concert at the royal albert hall this week with her husband, Philip, where they enjoyed a programme of Berlioz conducted by British maestro sir John eliot Gardiner. The Prime Minister looked particularly animated when the award-winning mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato swept on to the stage. I fancy that fashion aficionado Mrs May was just as engrossed in the songbird’s sparkly, off-the-shoulder frock as in her dramatic rendition of La Mort de Cleopatre.
