TV chef: I’m too fat for the red carpet

POOR Gizzi Erskine has revealed that she pulled out of the GQ Awards because she couldn’t fit into her designer dresses.

The 39- year- old television chef says she was left crying at home because her recent weight gain made her feel so insecure.

‘I was meant to go, but I didn’t because none of the stunning clothes that were sent for me fitted,’ Gizzi, daughter of the late Lord Erskine of Rerrick, tells her fans online. ‘ There were tears. This isn’t a knock at the fashion industry or anyone, actually. I’ve gone up from a ten to a 14.’

Held at Tate Modern art gallery, the magazine’s awards ceremony was one of the most glamorous events of the year.

‘ I’m all about body positivity, but I just don’t feel myself,’ Gizzi adds. ‘Even if I could get into the dresses I liked, I felt so gross. I was consumed with a monumental amount of self-loathing. I should have gone.’

It was their loss, Gizzi.
