Rein myself in at the Black Horse

WE’RE getting to know our new neighbourhood and there’s a great pub, the Black Horse, in our village. The quiet drink is a part of life that disappears when you’re on a run like this. You just want that clarity of thought and you don’t want anything getting in the way of it. The way people are with you changes, too. When you’re winning, everybody wants to stop and talk. When you’re not, they’ll use evasion techniques to avoid any awkwardness. Lisa and I can enjoy the Black Horse when this spell is behind us.
