Found, a £2m golden nugget

ONE of the biggest gold nuggets ever found has been unearthed by miners near Perth, Australia.

The 198lb rock, pictured, is thought to contain 2,300oz of gold and was found with a second lump containing 1,600oz.

The biggest nugget is estimated to be worth about £2million, while the smaller one is valued at £1.5million.

The world’s biggest nugget was found in 1869, also in Australia. Known as the Welcome Stranger, it weighed around 2,540oz.
