Off to a canter! Strictly Susannah’s taking horse medication for her creaky joints
MOST of us would prepare for rigorous dance training with a healthy diet and maybe a stockpile of blister pads.
But Susannah Constantine has revealed an unusual way of treating her joints during rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing – horse medication.
The 56-year-old style adviser shared a picture of an anti-inflammatory product designed for horses on Instagram, claiming she is taking it once a day to ‘oil’ her tendons and joints.
Miss Constantine, who has been paired with Anton Du Beke on the BBC1 show, wrote: ‘This is what vets give to old, knackered horses who need their joints and tendons oiled. Taking one scoop [per] day with water.’ JointPro, which appears to come in a powder form and is made by equine nutrition company OVVET, sells for up to £100 per tub.
The product’s description reads: ‘High quality natural ingredients in JointPro have anti-oxidative potential and anti-inflammatory potential.’
Ex-What Not To Wear presenter Miss Constantine has said she is taking part in Strictly ‘for the 50-somethings’.
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society said: ‘People should stick to medicines for human consumption.’
