THE sheer scale of blithe ignorance displayed by the LGBT society at Goldsmiths, University of London, in describing Stalin’s gulags as ‘compassionate’ is simply breathtaking.

At least a million political prisoners ( including countless thousands of homosexuals) were worked to death in this bleak archipelago of labour camps.

So one can only wonder what on Earth these air-headed students are being taught at this supposed seat of high learning. Clearly not the chilling works of gulag survivor and Nobel Prize-winning author Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
