KIMI RAIKKONEN will leave the Ferrari F1 team at the end of the season to be replaced by Charles Leclerc. Raikkonen will in turn replace Leclerc at Sauber, the team he began with in 2001, on a two-year contract. That will take the Finn beyond his 40th birthday. Leclerc, 20, from Monaco, will partner Sebastian Vettel. ‘Dreams do come true,’ he said.

CARLOS RAMOS, the umpire at the centre of the Serena Williams storm, has broken his silence, saying: ‘It’s a delicate situation. But umpiring “a la carte” is something that does not exist.
