United move fans
Hundreds of Manchester united season-ticket holders are being moved out of their seats for the Champions League clash with Valencia. some who sit near the away fans in one quadrant of Old Trafford are unhappy at the move, instigated by ueFA’s allocation rules. united were told visiting teams must be offered 3,800 tickets in europe this season, up from 3,000. Valencia are set to take the full quota when they arrive on October 2. That means a selection of home regulars will be rehoused given the difficult logistics inside Old Trafford. united warned those renewing season tickets of this eventuality in a letter over the summer. In addition to the letter, united’s website reads: ‘The club may from time to time relocate a ticket holder from their usual seat to an alternative seat where this is required. ‘The club cannot guarantee that the ticket holder’s usual seat will be available for every home cup match.’
