Shameless indulgence

FASHION designers often flirt with interior design, but for Matthew Williamson it’s far more than that. The past five years has seen him reinvent himself as a bona fide interior designer, with his own furniture and wallpaper range — and, of course, luxury home fragrance.

His new luxurious candles (£49 each, amara. com) smell divine. Each is created from highquality raw ingredients, including jasmine flowers and tuberose from Grasse in France, and spices from Indonesia.

One of my favourites, Jaipur Jewel (right), captures the essence of India with the scent of birch, cinnamon and incense, while English Garden has notes of bergamot, lemon and blackcurrant.
